Shri Shailyam Jyotrilinga is located in karnal district nandikotkur taluka in Andhra Pradesh. This is surrounded by very dense forest and mountains covering around 80 kms of the area.The famous Nagaarjuna dam is also situated nearby.

Krishan river which flows there is also called as "Patalganga". Just near by there is Shree Datta Mandir which is surrounded by many mountains.

To reach to Patalganga from Shailyam one has to travel by local transport like autorickshaws. To cross this Patalganga there are two diffrent ways
